Restoring riparian areas, clearing fish barriers and adding large woody debris are a few of the things Nooksack Salmon Enhancement Association does to restore salmon habitats, but since its conception, they have come to do even more.

An organization that’s been around since the early 1980s, Nooksack Salmon Enhancement Association (NSEA) was founded by local citizens concerned about fish. From there, the organization has blossomed from being solely focused on restoring the Nooksack River salmon population to also addressing issues with salmon habitats, providing education to young kids and offering internships to college students.
